'And Then Came Lola' Movie Review

Do any of you dedicated readers remember way back in 2008 when I blogged about the 'And Then Came Lola' promo picture?

Well, now you do.

And I finally took the time out to watch the movie!

My cousin bought me it for my birthday and I got round to watching it the other day. I'd usually review this on the review site I co-own, but I felt I'd be doing you lesbians a disservice if I didn't review this film here.

To be honest, I had one bad thing to say about the film - it wasn't long enough! At only around 70 minutes long, it left me feeling like I had just watched an episode of Charmed, rather than a feature film. Dammit!

However, any that Jill Bennett does is magical to me - she can do no wrong!

Cathy DeBuono and Ashleigh Sumner also co-star and do an awesome job.

My favourite part? The freakin' HOT sex scenes. Oh, and Jill's boobs. I mean face. (Maybe.)

The acting isn't exactly Oscar winning, but frankly, I don't give a shit. The film was awesome and there are segments of animation which are both humorous and entertaining.

Loved it.

Not sure it'll be as praised as Imagine Me And You, but it'll definitely become a cult favourite.

Lucky Dog Leather

It's been over a month since I last posted. Ew...

I am genuinely sorry, lesbos, but I've had a million and 1 other things to do, but my slate is pretty much wiped for now so expect more postage.

Anyway, moving on...

You might have heard of Lucky Dog Leather.

Cult lesbian heroes Jill Bennett & Cathy DeBuono are constantly photographed wearing their products and word is that lesbian director supremo, Angela Robinson, is also a fan.

Well, I thought this would be the perfect time to use my blog as an advertisement, as their products are both hot and define lesbian fashion.

Some of my favourite accessories include this Italian red leather cuff, as modelled by the gorgeous Jill Bennett, and below, the LDL baseball tee.

Best thing is, all of the accessories are custom made, so you know each one has been made with love and affection, especially for you.

And ladies, if I saw a chick wearing some of the belts and cuffs from Lucky Dog?

DAYUM.

Jill Bennett

I realized earlier this week when I was reading UK lesbian magazine DIVA that I don't blog about Jill Bennett enough.

Now usually, when you ask a dyke who her favorite all-time lesbian is, they'd probably answer 'Ellen!' or 'Rosie!' But to be honest, I'd have to say Jill.

So she's not as well known as Portia or Leisha, but she's high up on my own personal 'inspiration' list: she's talented - Jill played Michelle on season 3 of here! TV's D
ante's Cove and the infectious Andrea on lesbian comedy web series 3way - she's absolutely gorgeous, and she actually cares about the world, in particular, one of my all-time favorite topics, gay rights.

Currently dating SheWired's Cathy DeBuono, Jill recently protested outside the mormon church that funded anti-gay proposition 8 for the way in which gay people a
re now classed as second class citizens in California. (Below.) This is just one of the many things Bennett has done for gay welfare, as well as sharing her life with the lesbian community - both on SheWired and AfterEllen.com - ensuring people everywhere that being gay really is ok.

For constant personal updates on Jill, follow her on Twitter: twitter.com/jillbennett14.
Alternatively, click over to SheWired.com for Jill's current video blogs or go to her MySpace page at MySpace.com/JillBennett.

I personally think she's one to watch out for: she's certainly impressed me over the past few years.
