What?! A lesbian romance on prime time TV?!

You heard right, ladies. But I'm afraid if you're not living in the UK, it's bad news.

Network television soap Emmerdale recently announced that the relationship between Debbie Dingle (played by Charley Webb) and Jasmine Thomas (Jenna-Louise Coleman) is due to be rekindled in 2009. The couple previously shared a fling, (not off-screen, unfortunately) which ended - like many gay and lesbian storylines - because of the fact that the pair realized they 'weren't lesbians'.

No one can be certain whether the romance will last this time round, but if you live elsewhere, do not despair, I'm sure if the relationship really kicks off, there'll be one or two clips and fan videos on YouTube.

I was really pleased upon hearing this, not only because both girls are incredibly gorgeous, but also because there really is a lack of gay and lesbian characters on TV, especially on prime time. Yes, if you can't believe your ears, Emmerdale isn't even a cable show, it's always been prime time.

So if you can't contain your excitement, check back here to see whether anything ground-breaking happens between Debbie (below) and the lovely Jasmine.

Hey, Pope! FUCK YOU!

Yeah you heard. I hate the Pope. This one anyway.

That's the current Pope residing in the Vatican Pope Benedict XVI if you were wondering.

But the reason I hate him? Well, he claims that 'saving heterosexuality' is more important than saving the rainforests, and I think that's enough reason really. The fabulous Pope last week described homosexuality as "a destruction of God's work."

The chief of the Lesbian and Gay Christian movement says "It is more the case that we need to be saved from his comments. It is comments like this that justify homophobic bullying that goes on in schools and it is comments like this that justify gay bashing." A pretty good point, if you ask me.

So there we have it: someone who is supposed to be all loving and caring still repels homosexuality. If someone who is looked up to so much as this is coming out with these anti-gay slurs, who says that everyone else won't follow?

Assholes.

P.s. Shout out to Nathan Foad because he's not an asshole and he loves my blogs. :)

Message to all gays: GO TO HELL!

This morning, as a Christian, I picked up my Bible to re-read the book of Corinthian. Now I know that the Bible isn't the most gay friendly book of all time, but the following extract made me briefly hate religion in its entirety.

"1 Corinthians 6:9,10,13
Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God."

Now I'm not saying the Bible is wrong - maybe homosexuals are forbidden from going to heaven - but surely, if God is as 'all-giving' and as 'all-loving' as Christianity implies, shouldn't all people, no matter what their race or beliefs are, go to heaven?

Usually, I believe in everything the Bible says, but this extract made me question if I believed in this statement against homosexuals. Then I realized, maybe I do believe this phrase to be true. Maybe it's true that deceased homosexuals reside in hell, next to the murderers and rapists.

No, I'm turning against gay people and 'changing my lifestyle' to become a heterosexual, I'm simply stating that I would rather go to hell than betray myself and my fellow gay people. I'm saying now that I'd rather be gay and happy in my lifetime, and go to hell as a result, than be walking around pretending to be heterosexual and have an extremely unhappy life, just so that I can walk through the pearly gates.

If the Bible says I go to hell for being gay, then so be it. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am going to hell. I am going to hell for committing a 'crime' that doesn't even exist among Western culture. I am going to hell because I am not a liar and I am not in denial. I am gay and proud now, and I will continue to be when God asks me if I have sinned during my time on Earth.

So gays, go to hell. I'll see you there!

Top Lesbian News of 2008.

Firstly, I'm gonna say Happy Holidays to all you lovely ladies! Whether it's Christmas, Hanukkah or something else, I hope you have a good one!

As 2008 is drawing to a close, I was thinking about the best lesbian/bisexual news throughout the year. What would be in your list of top 5 lesbian headlines?

How about 'Portia becomes Mrs. DeGeneres?'

It's great when a lesbian couple are as mainstream as Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia De Rossi, but when it is big news that an openly gay couple are getting married, it just makes me feel even more proud to be a raving homosexual.

Contrastingly, amongst your list of biggest gay headlines in 2008 may be the passing of proposition 8 in California; abolishing the rights of marriage to homosexual couples in one of America's biggest states.

However, the passing of this discriminative law is not all bad: it pushed actress and comedian Wanda Sykes to officially come out of the closet once and for all.

Since she came out, Wanda ensured the both gay and straight communities that she was 'proud to be a black woman, and proud to be gay.' Recently married in California whilst it was legal, Sykes hated the fact that her rights were being stripped away and she has given many inspirational speeches to gay audiences since.

Talking of being stripped away, take Grey's Anatomy. Yes, Grey's Anatomy, which frequently displays gay story-lines and even has a gay actor (T.R. Knight) among the cast, recently took away one of the shows best loved characters, Erica Hahn, without so much as a goodbye.

Brooke Smith (below left, with on-screen lover Sara Ramirez, who plays Callie Torres on the show) was fired from Grey's with no explanation, to many lesbians' disappointment. Some people even began petitioning for the return of the couple!

So what do you guys think? What has been the best - and worst - lesbian and bisexual news this year? And do you think next year will be just as action packed?

I'm a celesbrity...

As I'm sure most of you know, 9 time tennis champion and out lesbian Martina Navratilova appeared on British reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! this month. Here's Martina in her jungle attire:

For those of you who didn't know however, Martina overall came second in the celebrity competition, losing to British soap star Joe Swash, who claimed the crown as 'King of the Jungle.' I'm sure all you lovely ladies in England were voting for our hero Ms. Navratilova (or 'Nav', as I like to call her,) and it seems like your efforts paid off!

It was great seeing an out lesbian being so prominently broadcast on national television like Martina has been for the past few weeks; maybe American screenwriters should take the hint that putting a lesbian on your show will not lower your ratings. *Cough* Grey's Anatomy.

Anyway, well done to Nav. Here she is flying the flag for the gay community in an advert for Visa.

Pink's Not Dead...

Pop singer P!nk (real name Alicia Moore) has always been a fan of the gay community. And I thank god that she's bisexual almost every day. (No joke.)

Putting her bisexuality aside, P!nk is sexy, talented and beautiful. Her debut album 'Can't Take Me Home' sold over 1.1 million copies worldwide, and her latest album 'Funhouse' is sure to do just as well. Her catchy single 'So What' was number one in the music charts in the UK for several weeks, proving to fans that she still had what it takes.

What makes me write this blog about Ms. Moore (who has also starred in lesbian magazine DIVA twice in the past 2 years) is how hot her new video is. The album for 'Sober' sees P!nk making out with another gorgeous girl. That gorgeous girl being herself, of course. Now I don't know if P!nk's just implying that she loves masturbation or that she just loves herself, but hey, if I looked like P!nk, I'd sure as hell kiss my doppleganger in a heart beat.

5 down, 1 to go...

***WARNING, MAY CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS.***

So I seem to be the only gay in the world that's excited about The L Word's final season. (Except maybe for my friend, Rosie.)

Everyone's been negative about the whole 'CSI' theme the show has seemed to steer onto this season. Rumor has it (look away now if you don't want to know) that some gets killed and someone goes to prison.

There are rumors also circulating about who the victim is, and who will take the fall for the murder. As I previously blogged, Alice (played by the lovely Leisha Hailey) has been reported to be starring in a spin-off of the show, so most people are guessing it's not her. Who knows; there's always room for ghosts on The L Word.

Here's a promo to keep your excitement contained... Or is that really just me?

Should gay marriage be taught in schools?

So I'm a dance teacher and I admit it's probably the straightest job you can ever have, but that's what I do.

Last week, I was teaching 2 young girls aged aroun
d 10 years old, when one of them ever asked me if I'd ever had a male examiner for any dance exams. I said 'yes, once'. Then, one of the girls asked 'Was he gay?' and I replied, saying 'yes, he was married.' I then went on to explain that he was married to a man. Then, girl A asked 'It's illegal for a girl and a girl to get married though, isn't it?'

EXCUSE ME?!

What made this little girl feel as if there was any difference between love between two men and love between two women? Maybe it's shoddy parenting...

Take exhibit A, children's book 'King and King.'

King & King, written originally by Linda de Haan and Stern Nijland and then later translated into English, is all about a gay prince who marries another gay prince and lives happily ever after, just as in a normal fairytale, just with a hint more homosexuality about it. (Although this is debatable, as the Prince is still traditionally played by a man in tights.)

Now you'd think that parents would be all for teaching their children that discrimination is incorrect and that you should not tease people for being gay. However, when teachers in Lexington, Massachusetts proposed that they read the book to their pupils to teach them about same-sex marriage, several parents of the children complained, declaring that book made gay relationships to be 'the way things should be' and one couple even filed for a lawsuit. (This lawsuit was later dismissed, thankfully, after the judge ruled that diversity is a 'hallmark of our nation.')

Now, am I the only one thinking 'GAY IS THE WAY?' Clearly not. But that's not my point. My point is, relating back to 'yes, in England it is legal for 2 girls to get married' is something that parents should be responsible for telling their children if they are not willing for their school to do so, along with 'touching fire will hurt you' and 'never take candy from strangers.'

So what do you think? Should same sex marriage be taught in schools?

Oh, and while I'm here... KEEP VOTING NO ON PROP 8!

Thursday 6 November 2008

Disappointed and enraged.

So as you probably all know, Proposition 8 (see previous blog entry) was passed this week on November 4th in California.

It's rare that I post a blog without humor or any sarcasm within it, but this is one exception. I am quite aggravated that the people in the state of California, which is widely known for being very liberal, this week abolished the rights of same sex marriage within its bord
ers.

Now I personally don't think I will ever get married. I could, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to. However, my gay twin brother - who I love more than anything - and I plan on moving to California in the next few years, and I'm just sad to think what will happen if this proposition is not over-turned by then. It was the other day that I realized that my brother (and my best friend) will not be able to marry the person he loves. Many of my friends were crying all day at the realization that they, and their friends, could no longer be joined in civil matrimony. I just don't understand why anyone would want to vote against love.

So I urge you, people of California, to do all you can for the 'No On Prop 8' campaign. Join protests, start rallies, raise money, raise awa
reness. Go to www.noonprop8.com to see exactly what you can do to help.

California, the state with the highest electoral vote count (55), could theoretically be classed as the most powerful state in the US for this reason. So please, all of you out there, fight for love. Show your new president exactly what you want: Equal human rights for same sex couples.

It's over to you.

Saturday 1 November 2008

VOTE NO ON PROP 8!

The votes are almost in! The election ends on November 4th! (God forbid anyone who votes for John McCain and Sarah Palin!)

For those of you who don't know, proposition 8 is the law that, if approved, will deny the right of same sex marriage in the state of California.

I'm hoping that all of those reading this (if you live in California, of course) are voting 'no' on this preposterous proposition, and if not, then why?! Seriously. I have a few ideas why you may be voting for prop 8, but I also have some ideas why your reasons are utter bullsh*t.

1) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay.
What?! Are you stupid?! This is basically the same as saying 'Hanging with tall people will make you tall' or 'Working with white people will make you white.'

2) Straight marriage would be less meaningful if gay people could marry too.
Hmm yeah, and straight people such as Britney Spears who get married for 55 hours just for fun don't take the sanctity out of straight marriage.

3) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children.
Wait a sec, didn't we already over-populate the Earth and fill up orphanages to the brim?

4) Gay parents will raise gay children, obviously.
And straight parents only raise straight children...

5) Religion does not support gay marriage.
And everyone in the world has the same religion, who's values are imposed on the entire continent of Northern America.

6) Children can't succeed without a male and female role model in the home.
So how come we don't forbid single parents from raising children?

I'm sure you see where I'm getting at. I could go on, as there are many reasons why I oppose Proposition 8.

So if you're not already, I encourage you to vote NO ON PROP 8. Not allowing gay marriage is making a hole in the American way of life: everyone is equal.

Why do I dislike men so much, you ask?

Here's why...

Take male chauvinist Dick Masterson. Granted, he's a bit of an extreme example, but he's a perfect example of how bad men's attitudes towards women and, more specifically lesbians, can be.

Watch the video and see for yourself.

What's that? All women are lesbians for attention? HOLD THE PHONE! Am I not right in thinking there are a lot of homophobic women out there who would rather not pass themselves off as homosexual? And more importantly, funnily enough, all the lesbians I know are not doing it for attention, they're doing it because of men like you. (Oh, also the fact that women are hotter and clearly make better conversation than men may have something to do with it.)

For more disgustingly degrading blogs written by Masterson himself, go to http://www.menarebetterthanwomen.com to see the full extent of his chauvinistic attitude.

The one that particularly p*ssed me off was this one titled "All Lesbians Are Fakers". Women are all lesbians because they like sex? Women are only in lesbian relationships to have sex?

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe he has been in one or two lesbian relationships... YEAH, RIGHT.

Jodie Marsh, a lesbian?!

Okay, okay. Enough of this ridiculous behavior.

It was reported this week that UK 'glamor girl' Jodie Marsh has been seeing her lesbian hair stylist for the past 12 years.

So, if you don't know who Ms. Marsh is, and don't want to judge her on the photo above... Just do it. Truthfully, what you see is what you get with Jodie. She's best known for her notorious sex scandals (with men!) and wearing very little. Specifically, wearing nothing on her top half but a belt, covering her nipple area.

I'm sorry Jodie, if you really are a gay lady, but I just can't see it. After I saw the headline on the front of Heat Magazine, I couldn't help but think this was all a scam. And I'm betting in a few weeks time, the truth will come out. The truth being that Jodie started the rumor for publicity. (Which she seems to be lacking recently.

I've had it with straight girls claiming they're gay for attention. *cough* Lohan.

I'm disgusted, quite frankly.

Okay, I thought most of this had come to an end, especially in this country, but homophobia in 2008?

Basically, the point of this blog entry is about the punishment of a lesbian couple in the college I go to. I'm not really fond of either of the girls, but this is because of their personality and traits, not their personal lives or sexual orientation.

It came to my attention the other day that the two ladies - let's name them X and Y - were being punished for kissing in school. To put it bluntly, I was f**king outraged. The staff and committee at the college wouldn't even dream of punishing a heterosexual couple for public displays of affection.

Now I'm sure if I asked the teacher responsible for putting the punishment into practice if they were homophobic, they'd say no, but clearly this is homophobia. I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem with an African American couple kissing. If 2 Muslim students were kissing, would they tell them to stop it and punish them? Of course not!

They wouldn't allow racism in the school, so why are they allowing homophobia? Is it just me, or does anybody else think something should be done about this?

Protest much?

The XXX Factor.

If you live in the UK and watch talent show The X Factor: PLEASE VOTE FOR CHERYL COLE'S ACTS TO WIN!

I urge you to do so, as Ms. Cole claims 'If one of my acts win when it gets to the final, I'll snog Dannii.' For those American's who don't know, the term 'snog' is a British way of saying 'make out with'.
If you're living in America, I'm aware that it's highly unlikely that you know who Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue are or even what The X Factor is. Brief description?

Cheryl Cole: Married to British soccer star Ashley Cole. Is a member of 5-piece girl band Girls Aloud. Very hot. (Pictured below.)

Dannii Minogue: Sister of Kylie. Had a brief pop career and was quite successful, but was outshone by her older sister. Very hot. (Pictured below.)

The X Factor: Reality TV talent show. A lot like American Idol, just with less hype and no celebrity party at the end.

Now correct
me if I'm wrong, but would it be a terrible crime to vote for one of Cheryl Cole's (formerly Cheryl Tweedy) acts to win in order to see these two engrossed in a lesbian lip lock?

That's what I thought.

Sunday 12 October 2008

And then came THE hottest promo picture ever.

Cutting right to the chase... Imagine how much I drooled when I first saw this picture promoting new lesbian movie And Then Came Lola.

You probably understand where I'm coming from, as you are also probably drooling all over your laptop right now.

And Then Came Lola - which is due for release sometime soon - is a movie in which Lola, (Ashleigh Sumner, pictured far left), a talented photographer has to juggle her relationship with her girlfriend with her beloved job. The film sees Lola scurrying about the streets of San Francisco trying to get to her meeting on time.

I for one cannot wait to see this movie released, but it seems they're having a little trouble with funding and need money to finish the film. Go here to donate any spare change you have lying around if you want to see the movie (also starring Jill Bennett, Dante's Cove and Cathy DeBuono, pictured above) as much as I do!

Just for now, view a preview here.

Anyone else hate Sarah Palin?

Okay, maybe HATE is a strong word... But then again, maybe it isn't!

As I was strolling through fellow lesbian and out comedienne Bridget McManus' MySpace page, I noticed she'd posted a few blogs about how she also dislikes Governor Palin and the American Government in general.

I don't understand how anyone could vote for her. And if you're gay and voting for her: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?! She's been quoted many times saying how being gay is 'a choice that someone makes in life' (click the link for video evidence), as if someone can choose whether to be gay or not. She also claims that she has a lesbian best friend. Then why, if you have a lesbian best friend, do you oppose gay marriage so strongly?! Oh that's right, it's because you don't have a lesbian best friend at all! Again, more lies just to win votes.

And if you're voting for Palin because she's 'attractive'... What the f?! Since when was this attractive?:

Granted, she's better looking than any other women politicians, but attractive? That's bullshit. Personally, I find Tina Fey's version of Palin much more attractive.

Plus, nobody's more liberal than Ms. Fey. And she clearly has the better sense of humour.

Anyway, my point is, PLEASE America, just vote Obama.

Sunday 21 September 2008

Megan Fox is hot for the ladies.

So clearly all lesbians (the sane ones anyway) think Megan Fox - star of Transformers - is hot.

As unreliable as British press is these days, Megan has been reported as being bisexual in this weekend's newspaper News Of The World. Being one victim of false-belief brought by the British newspaper, I decided to research this idea further on the Internet.

Apparently, (to my delight) the rumors about Ms. Fox are true. She's actually been quoted telling various sources that her ultimate woman would be Angelina Jolie or Olivia Wilde (pictured below), star of The OC and House. Both women are favorites of many lesbians.

Megan has been quoted saying "I mean, I could see myself in a relationship with a girl. I think that all humans were born with the ability the be attracted to both sexes." Amen to that! My prayers have been answered. Now I'm just waiting for the day when LA Ink's Kat Von D confesses her undying love to me.
So please join me to take just 2 seconds to create a mental image of Megan & Olivia in a passionate lip lock...

Okay I'm done.

Lindsay Ronson?

So seeing as this is a lesbian blog, I thought it was about time I posted one about Lindsay Lohan, seeing as everyone seems to be talking about her these days.

Baby faced Lindsay (above) has had quite an eventful life already at the age of 22. She dealt with drugs, all-night partying, constantly being followed by the paparazzi... And obviously now there's the rumor that Lohan is in fact a queer lady.

As most of you know, Lindsay has been said to be dating Brit sensation Mark Ronson's younger sister Samantha. Samantha - a clear favorite within the lesbian community - is loved for her DJing and, of course, the fact that she is out and proud. Following these accusations, both Lindsay and Sam have posted various blogs on their MySpace pages about how they are very special to each other and have blasted homophobe Sarah Palin.

Pictures like this don't really make matters any better either.

Is it just me or does this picture give us any sort of clue?...

And to make this gossip even more juicy, there have been further allegations that Lohan & Ronson are getting married. Clearly it's 'cool to be gay' these days, so I'm just wondering if Lindsay is just playing along with this idea for some publicity. Who knows?

I guess we'll see if LoSon tie the knot...

Thursday 4 September 2008

Leisha Hailey to star in 'The L Word' spin-off.

As many gay women are, I am a huge fan of Leisha Hailey.

Actress and musician, Leisha is probably most famous for her role as Alice Pieszecki on Showtime's The L Word.

Earlier in the year, cable network Showtime announced that there will be a spin-off show of The L Word - due to come to an end in it's sixth series. It wasn't
until this week, however, that the television station finally confirmed that Ms. Hailey would be the central character of the new franchise. Shooting of the pilot episode will begin in December 2008, but there is no news yet on when the show itself will begin.

Personally, I can't think of any better character that writer and executive producer Ilene Chaiken could have chosen. Cute, smart and downright witty, Alice is clearly the most lovable character by a long way. (Okay, maybe not as lovable as the late Dana Fairbanks, played by talented actress Erin Daniels, but of the characters who are still alive, there's no doub
t.) I would say that there is also no actress better to be chosen than Leisha also - she's possibly the most widely-liked character, and not only for her sex appeal. (*cough* Shane.)

As all L Word fans know, Alice & Dana (pictured together, above) were one of the sweetest couples that ever existed on planet lesbian. So who knows - will Alice & Dana the ghost be reunited in this exciting new spin-off?

For more information on Leisha's current band Uh Huh Her, go to http://www.myspace.com/uhhuhhermusic.

Gay Men and Gay Women hate each other?

So I'm going back to tenth grade, which is a long time ago, since I'm in college now. I don't know why I suddenly remembered this, but I thought I'd blog about it, just to hear your opinion.

Okay, I'm in a citizenship class with some of my friends. We are discussing gay and lesbian relationships with the community and leading the discussion is a guest speaker we have in school: a police officer. (Why we had a police officer in to talk about homosexuals, I have no idea.)

Anyway, so we're chatting about gays, and the officer comes up with the stupidest thing I ever heard. He says 'Gay men and gay women do not get along at all.' Someone next to me asks 'Why don't they?' The police officer replies 'They just don't. In gay bars, they stay away from each other.'

Annoyed by this, I put my hand up and say 'Well I get along
with gay men.' The police guy says 'But you're not a lesbian.' This left me even more pissed off with the guy, and I replied 'How do you know?' He then said 'I don't.' Then I just had to say 'Well I am a lesbian, and I have loads of gay male friends and get along with them just fine thanks.' Which then led to applause from all the gay and bisexual students in the room...

So I was looking for your opinion. Do gay men and lesbians generally not get along, or was the police guy just talking... well... crap? Do you have any homosexual male friends or is it some sort of stereotype for lesbians to steer clear of them?

Clearly the police officer wasn't as gay as this one.

I kissed a girl and my Mom didn't like it...

I'm sure every person in the world must have heard Californian beauty Katy Perry's pop rendition of I Kissed A Girl. If you haven't, well... Where have you been for the past 3 months?!

The hit songs main sing-a-long lyric is 'I kissed a girl and I liked it', but this seems to be the complete opposite to what Ms. Perry's mother is saying.

Katy's Mom - a devoted Christian - has been quoted on many websites saying "I can't even listen to that song. When it comes on the radio, I bow my head to pray." She later went on to say "It clearly promotes homosexuality and its message is shameful and disgusting."

Now Christian homophobia is nothing new to us lesbians, but can somebody join me in telling the world: It's just a song! It's not as if Katy is pushing all teens and yo
ung confused girls to be gay, she's basically just trying to make money, which goes for most pop stars these days. Do they really care about music? Hell no. They just need the cash!

Mrs. Perry has also been quoted as saying: "Katy is not homosexual and I fear she has been lead astray by the Hollywood crowd." Hold on... Lead astray? Last time I
checked, you didn't 'turn' gay to follow a crowd. I mean, I can't see Katy hanging out playing poker and watching The L Word at Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi's Hollywood estate on weekends.

So, a message to any over the top God lovers: Get over it. And who can blame us for staring, when Katy dresses in outfits like this?!

Asda caters for gay ladies.

You may be thinking 'what the hell?' but it's true.

UK supermarket Asda (which is part of the Wal*Mart family apparently) has started selling lesbian magazine DIVA this week.

This month, the magazine stars The L Word military chic Rose Rollins, who plays Tasha Williams in the show.

I thought this was fantastic because Asda is a large chain supermarket with hundreds of people going in every day... And the fact that the magazine was displayed on the very front row at eye level made my day that little bit more.

Just thought I should tell you... ALL HAIL ASDA!

Tuesday 5 August 2008

The top women you wish were lesbian/bisexual, but aren't quite there...

So maybe I'm the only lesbian in history to have a batch of women listed under 'I wish you were gay'. But maybe there are others out there who have a huge crush on a straight female celebrity and it just gets you down... What better way to find out your views than blogging about it?!

First on my list: Tina Fey. (Below.)

To be honest, the best question to ask is 'Why shouldn't Tina be gay?!' I mean, she looks like a lesbian, she writes like one, millions of gay women seem to be besotted with her... Her last name even rhymes with gay for God's sake! We know she's gay friendly too - she welcomes her gay fans with open arms. Basically, we need more lesbians like her.

Alright, second straight gal that should be part of the fold? Sara Ramirez. (Below.)

Wow. Just look at her. Voluptuous, talented... And that lesbian storyline she is at the center of on Grey's Anatomy is just... Well, I'm speechless. Well done to the writers of Grey's, that's all I can say...

Perhaps the youngest beautiful girl on my list is Mandy Musgrave. (Below.)

We know this actress is beautiful, but she's also a role model to teen lesbians and bisexuals everywhere. Her character Ashley Davies from The N's South Of Nowhere is a gay teenager living in LA. Mandy also starred in Angela Robinson's Girltrash, starred in AfterEllen's Brunch With Bridget (starring out comedienne Bridget McManus) and has attended several pride ceremonies and GLAAD awards. Should she be gay? Oh yes.

Next up, the stunning Jennifer Beals. (Below.)

Probably best known for her role in 80s epic dance movie Flashdance, all red-blooded dykes know her better as The L Word's Bette Porter. Or Dean Porter as we like to call her... She's beautiful, talented, extremely gay friendly... She might as well be gay already dammit!

I could probably go on for days writing this list and these are just a few of my favorites. Who are your top straight ladies? Who do you just wish would become a lesbian and get it over with?!

A Coronation lesbian?

I've never really been a big fan of any soap operas. However, this week in the UK newspaper 'The Daily Star' there have been claims that a lesbian character is going to be introduced into the cast.

As I said, I was never really a big fan, but if the rumors are true, maybe I should start taking time out to watch a couple of episodes.

There's no news about which characters the new cast member will be romantically involved with, but I will keep you updated. Here's just hoping it's one of the more eligible bachelorettes, rather than Blanche Hunt. (Played by Patricia Cutts.)

Wednesday 9 July 2008

Did my wish come true?

So you might recall that I recently blogged about the ejection of Big Brother 9's Dennis McHugh and my fantasy about a sexy lesbian joining the group. And then this Friday, 3 new women came in.

However, it was pretty girl Sara Folino who came to my at
tention.

Some critics are saying that the lovely Australian Sara resembles Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie. To be honest, I see where they're coming from, but Angelina is 100 times better looking in my opinion.

Anyway, what really
drew me to Sara - although I have come to realize that she is extremely annoying personality-wise - is that she claimed the other night to be 'bisexual.' When the lovely housemate and ex-actor Rachel Rice (below) questioned Sara about her sexuality, Sara replied 'I'm probably bisexual.' The word 'probably' gives me serious doubt about whether she is telling the truth however.

Then on today's British edition of 'The Daily Star', one article claimed that sexy Sara had made a pass at Rachel and they had enjoyed a harmless bit of flirting... Last night's show also showed Sara enjoying a swift kiss in the pool with Thai lady Kathreya Kasisopa (below.)

Well hopefully, Sara wasn't kidding when she confessed to liking women... I'll keep you updated anyhow.

Davina's Darlington Dykes

So I'm probably one of the few lesbians is Britain who watches Big Brother - I have no shame!

I thought I should inform you of the lesbians in the crowd of the eviction of Sylvia Barrie, as they made me laugh hysterically when I saw them! Clad with a giant rainbow flag bearing the words 'Davina's Darlington Dykes' in honor of show host Davina McCall, the 3 lesbians (who wanted to make it clear that they were from Darlington) were doing it for the dykes by being out and proud on national live TV.

Do we need more dykes like them? We sure do.
And is anyone else praying for a hot lesbian to replace out gay man Dennis McHugh? I certainly am.

God dammit Tila Tequila!

Okay, so I didn't watch the first season of 'A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila', but all the hype about her breakup with Bobby Banhart after the first series has drawn me in.

It's the final next week, but I'm so frustrated with Tila for b
ooting off the hottest girls in the competition! Firstly, it was the gorgeous Sirbrina Guerrero (below) who she kicked out because she claimed that 'looks didn't mean everything to her', but she really never got the chance to talk to Sirbrina so why didn't she wait a little?! Fair enough, if she had a date with her afterwards and didn't like her, I could have understood. And besides, who would kick this off?!:

She's clearly cuter than Tila, maybe she got jealous.

Anyway, when it got down to the final 3, Tila again made the wrong deci
sion and picked off the sexy Brittany Rae, (below) meaning there is only one girl left, and she is by no means the hottest. (In my opinion!)Brittany was also this years only gold star lesbian, making her just that little bit hotter. (And I can never resist a girl with her lip pierced!)

So, for the final, Tila has chosen Kristy Morgan and Bo Kunkle to fight for her lo
ve. I've heard rumors about who is going to win, but I won't spoil it for you! In the meantime, here are the two finalists for you to decide for yourself who's hotter... (And I think we all know the answer!)

SAVE SPASHLEY! (And their raspy voices...)

After I discovered The L Word I clearly needed to see some more lesbian coupling on TV with chemistry as good as what Laurel Holloman (Tina Kennard) and Jennifer Beals (Bette Porter) portray.

And then I found these two:
Cute, right? Gabrielle Christian, 24 (Spencer Carlin, left) and Mandy Musgrave, 22 (Ashley Davies, right) from The N's South Of Nowhere may actually be cuter than Alice & Dana from The L Word. And that takes some beating.

Recently, I was discussing with my friend who is new to the show what makes these two so cute... And all I could come up with was their sexy little raspy voices! I don't know why, but there's something about the way these two sound when talking to each other that makes them irresistible.

Sure, sometimes the scripted conversations between Ashley and Spencer are sometimes a little cheesy, but that just makes me love them even more!

And more to the point: SOUTH OF NOWHERE IS BEING CANCELLED!

There aren't enough lesbian shows to go around as it is, so get yourself to http://www.savespashley.com/ to help Mandy & Gabrielle stay together as a couple on the air. If you live in the States, you can also go to http://www.the-n.com/ to catch up on any episodes you may have missed.

So please help and Save Spashley. After all, they earned it - they're as cute as cupcakes :)
